CANON KAISO VISITS AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND AND PAPUA NEW GUINNEA
The Anglican Board of Mission Australia, hosted Canon Kaiso for a series of meetings in the 3 countries on the month of November 2014. During this official visit sponsored by ABM, the General Secretary addressed the New Zealand Board of Mission meeting in Auckland.
While in Papua New Guinea (PNG), he was able to hold meetings with Church Partnership Program (CPP) Church Leaders Council and also met a cross section of religious Leaders of the CPP. He held meetings with the House of Bishops as well as the Churches Development Council. Canon Kaiso was accompanied by Canon Robert Kereopa Executive Officer New Zealand Board of Mission.
His trip wound up with meeting in Sydney where he addressed and attended the ABM-AID Development Committee and was a a guest at ABM Partnership Committee meeting.
One key emerging issue from this visit is that there will great value in the churches taking advantage of the experiences of CAPA, through the exchange programs and the proposed Cross cultural parish placement program.
APPRECIATION MESSAGE FROM CANON KAISO
“I am grateful to God and especially, Dr Julianne Stewart and Robert Mclean in Sydney, who made it possible for me to have such an enriching engagement with highly skilled people who have a deep commitment to the values of quality and cooperation while fulfilling God’s mission. There was a deep sense of partnership and collegiality with all those we met including the House of Bishops and the Provincial Team and the members of the CCP and the CDC. The support and hospitality of Fr Martin and Ms Meagan Morrison enabled us to further deepen the richness of our visit to this very promising country as they went to great length to ensure that all was well with us”.
