Scope
of Work of CAPA AIDS Program
1. The Program
aims at providing a mechanism for Provincial HIV/AIDS coordinators
to work together with Diocesan and Parish coordinators, under
the leadership of the Archbishop in support of effective Provincial
HIV/AIDS initiatives mainly for:
• Improved
coordination across the Provinces, provincially negotiated plans
to enable them identify existing gaps and improve efficiency,
program planning, monitoring and evaluation as well as resource
mobilization.

• CAPA HIV/AIDS program to ensure that Provinces are linked
to each other, the wider Anglican Communion and to the international
and partner resources and initiatives, including the promotion
of best practice, dissemination of information, expertise, by
working hand in hand with the communication units in the Provinces
to improve on communication and quality information.
2. To offer
skills to Provincial HIV/AIDS coordinators in the six (6) call
areas of our response to the AIDS Scourge contained in the All
Africa Anglican Framework
• Prevention
• Pastoral care
• Counseling
• HIV Care
• Death and dying and
• Leadership
3. To identify
donors at the international level, and supply for needed resources
• By
effectively using existing locally available and new financial
and human resources, donors are more likely to support Provincial
activities with clearly costed and well implemented programs,
especially where it is clear that monitoring and evaluating mechanisms
are in place.
