Archbishop Tilewa Passes on

The Most Rev Dr Solomon Tilewa Johnson

With great shock and disbelief, we learnt of the sudden death of the Primate of West Africa, the Most Rev Dr Solomon Tilewa Johnson on Tuesday 21 January 2014. Archbishop Johnson, 59,  was elected the Ninth Primate of the Church of the Province of West Africa on September 29 2012. He was also the Archbishop of the Internal province of West Africa.

We shall miss his energy, enthusiasm for ministry coupled with great sense of humour.

Our prayers are with his family; wife Priscilla, his children Njilan, Jeggan and Dado, relatives and friends, Gambia and the Province of West Africa as we mourn the death of a dedicated servant of God.

Eternal rest grant him Lord.
